Bio
Rob Crowl grew up in Oklahoma and Texas. He writes fiction and poetry, but his current project is a memoir that explores rescue animals, addiction, displacement, and divorce. His parents married and divorced each other three times, and Rob lived in 12 residences by the time he was 16. Rob’s saint of a mother got sober when he was in high school, but his father’s addiction worsened over the years, eventually taking his life when he developed Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome. Rob currently lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two children where he teaches composition, literary studies, and creative writing at Austin Community College.
Education
Rob studied English and Creative writing at the University of Alabama where he earned his BA, and his MFA in creative writing is from the University of Texas in El Paso.
